Get ready, Jackson County high school football fans. It’s time for Jackson Bowl Part VII, Seymour vs. Brownstown Central.
The county rivalry game, which was revived seven years ago after several years’ absence, has been competitive for the past five years. While Seymour won all five matchups from 1967 to 1971, the series is tied at 3 since it was renewed in 2007.
This year’s game will kick off at 7 p.m. Friday at Seymour High School’s Bulleit Stadium. It will be Brownstown coach Reed May’s seventh Jackson Bowl, but it will be the first for Seymour coach Josh Shattuck.
