Bronc busters, steer wrestlers and barrel riders will raise awareness of breast cancer and honor fallen soldiers during the sixth annual Jackson County Rodeo this weekend.

Gates at the HD Hogan Arena west of Cortland open at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and the action will start at 7:15 p.m. both days.

Friday features the Pinkest Show on Dirt rodeo. Attendees are encouraged to wear pink and show their support for breast cancer awareness.

More than 1,200 spectators gathered at the Pinkest Show on Dirt last year, organizer Lora Plumer of Cortland said.
