Jackson County medical students receive scholarships

Several area students have been awarded grants through the George H. James Jr. Scholarship program.

The scholarship program was established in 2002 in honor of George H. James Jr. for his 33 years of service to Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, according to a news release.

This year’s recipients from Seymour and the schools they are attending are Kelsey Black, Samuel Borcherding and Dustin Nowaskie, who are all in the Indiana University School of Medicine.
