Two Jennings County residents face charges following a hit-and-run wreck on U.S. 50 in far eastern Jackson County.
Christopher Alan Hunter, 32, of North Vernon faces a Class C misdemeanor charge of leaving the scene of a property-damage wreck. Samantha Eileen Jackson, 19, of North Vernon faces a similar charge of aiding, inducing or causing the leaving the scene of a property-damage wreck and a Class B misdemeanor charge of false informing. Hunter also faces a driving while suspended charge.
The incident that led to their arrests was reported at 5:51 p.m. Friday when dispatchers received a call of a wreck involving two vehicles in the 12000 block of U.S. 50, according to a report from Jackson County Reserve Officer Scott Davis.
