NORTH VERNON
Bedford North Lawrence spoiled Jennings County’s homecoming festivities, invading the Panthers’ turf to pound out a dominating 44-0 Hoosier Hills Conference victory.
The Stars limited the hosts to less than 100 yards of offense and quashed any idea of Jennings County registering its second consecutive victory. The Panthers, who beat Madison in overtime last week, fell to 1-3 in HHC play and 1-5 overall.
Bedford (2-4, 2-2) stacked its defense against the Panthers, which was virtually one-dimensional Friday as they failed to complete a pass and were without the services of senior powerback Tommy Taylor.
Junior tailback Preston Teltow became the main cog in Jennings’ offense and the main focus of the Stars as they limited him to 64 yards on 22 carries.
