Jackson County 4-H Junior Leaders elected officers for the 2012-2013 year during a meeting Sept. 5 at the Jackson County Extension Office in the courthouse at Brownstown. Jackson County 4-H Junior Leaders elected new officers for the 2012-2013 year during a meeting Sept. 5 at the Jackson County Extension Office in the courthouse at Brownstown.
Darren Cain, daughter of Allan and Kim Cain, was elected president. She has belonged to Junior Leaders for five years and is a seven-year member of Farmington Champions 4-H Club.
Elected vice president was Amy Hehman, daughter of Mark and Peggy Hehman. She is a five-year member of Junior Leaders and a 10-year member of U & I 4-H Club.
Shelby Nierman, daughter of Brian and Amy Nierman, was elected secretary. She is a four-year member of Junior Leaders and is an eight-year member of Vallonia Friends 4-H Club.
Elected treasurer was Mollie Borcherding, daughter of Doug and Jennifer Borcherding. Borcherding has belonged to Junior Leaders for three years and Lucky Starz 4-H Club for seven years.
