BROWNSTOWN — A jury found a 24-year-old Crothersville man guilty of murder Friday afternoon in the shooting death of his father three years ago.

The 12-member panel returned its verdict against John Aaron Shoultz III around 1:15 p.m. Friday in Jackson Circuit Court. Jurors received final instructions from Jackson Circuit Judge Bill Vance around 10:45 a.m. after closing arguments.

Shoultz was convicted of murdering his father, John Aaron Shoultz Jr., 48, of Crothersville at his home on South Indiana 39 in the Crothersville area.
