Stacy Robbins and Anita Gault will teach beginners how to weave a “chili pepper vinaigrette” basket.
The class will begin at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 29 in the Seymour Library Meeting Room.
All adults and teens are invited to register and pay $25 for supplies by Sept. 24.
There is a limit of 12 students for this class. The class may last until 4 p.m. but will end earlier if baskets are completed.
Each attendee should bring a sack lunch. Drinks are provided.
A weaver’s kit will be available for purchase, if there is interest. All materials are furnished, including two glass oil and vinegar bottles and a bright red chili pepper pottery tie-on.
The instructors are also furnishing all buckets and tools to borrow to make the basket. Students do not need to bring anything but lunch to class.
Bev Rust taught Robbins and Gault to make baskets in classes at the Seymour Library. They then took classes with Sherry Stephens at Basket Basics in Bloomington and continue to learn more intricate styles of weaving from her.
