The Board of Zoning Appeals of the City of Seymour, Indiana will hold a public hearing on the 24th day of July, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, 301-309 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour, Indiana on a “Application for Development Standard Variance” for real estate within the jurisdiction of the Board of Zoning Appeals. A copy of the applicant is on file and available for review at the Department of Planning and Zoning of the City of Seymour, Indiana.
The hearing is open to the public, all adjoining property owners, and any other interested person. Interested persons may appear and offer comments on the application at the hearing. Any person who chooses to submit written comments or objections may do so at the Department of Planning and Zoning, 301-309 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour, Indiana before 4:00 p.m. on the day of the hearing.
The name of the applicant is Rex L. Phillips and the owner is the same. The affected real estate address is 1120 Brittney Blvd. and fronts on Brittney Blvd. The present zoning classification is R-1, which is Single Family Residential.
The applicant has requested a variance from development standards under the zoning code for the real estate because the Petitioner wishes to vary from the required 20’ rear yard setback to 10’ and to vary from the required 9’ side yard setback to 2’, to allow the construction of a garage on the property.
The legal description of the real estate affected is as follows: Lot 13, PebbleBrooke Subdivision, Phase 1.
This notice is provided pursuant to Titles 5 and 36 of the Indiana Code and Chapter 157 of the Municipal Code of the City of Seymour, Indiana.
