Letter: City not taking recycling efforts seriously

So I’ve read The Tribune opinion page article on recycling and this is my reaction: The largest glass recycler in North America is on the south side of Indianapolis (probably less than 60 miles away), and we are throwing our glass into the landfill?

How does that make any sense? What is the purpose of the city of Seymour’s recycling department?

It seems to me that the recycling effort in Seymour is over. And, by changing the hours that the residents can drop off their recycling, it seems to me that they are saying “we are not interested in your recycling.”
