I have prayed for Grant VonDielingen and his family through all of the discussion about the proposed confined animal feeding operation near Brownstown and am ashamed how people in the community have acted toward him.
Now, for all those opposed, I expect to see them on the Main Street committee, building Brownstown into the biggest metropolis they said this farm would prevent it from becoming. No empty storefronts, lots of property sold and homes built so we can collect those taxes.
Wow, a housing boom. New businesses. No one will have cancer or respiratory problems, and a lot of them will bring their children and families back to live in Brownstown to be here to pay taxes and support the growth.
All those studies so believed in will cause Brownstown to outgrow buildings for business, and there will be a raise in property values that causes ground to be outlandish to buy because everyone wants to build here. Now precious property will not have any less value in the market. Does it matter if you aren’t leaving?
