I was pleased that Jim McCormick of Seymour has chosen to run for representative to the Indiana State Legislature.
Jim will do a remarkable job representing the values of all of the voters of southern Indiana.
Jim had such a positive record of helping each and every student while he was principal of Seymour High School. He gained true insight into students’ needs as he had an open door for parents to share hopes and aspirations for their children.
Jim was active with business and industry leaders through the Greater Seymour Chamber of Commerce and with civic organizations to make sure that academic courses and co-curricular activities for students would prepare them to be productive to future employers, and for them to obtain education and training after successfully graduating from high school.
Jim and his family have also been very involved in their church, and he knows the needs of his fellow Hoosiers. After working with him for more than 20 years as director of curriculum for Seymour Community Schools, I know that in the Indiana State Legislature Jim McCormick will be hard working, highly respected and a good steward of taxpayers’ funds.
