Letter: Many thanks given to city workers, paper

Darlene Oathout

Seymour

To the Editor:

I want to take this opportunity to say “thanks” to the Seymour public works employees who took care of the city’s Christmas tree.

They sure knew what to do. They made a difficult job look easy, and they were so pleasant, each and every one of them. Dick Wilde, city director of public works, should be applauded. All was handled smoothly and professionally.

This is the first time I had ever attended the city tree lighting. Every detail was timely and wonderful. It made me wish I was a child again. Even though, as a great-grandma, I couldn’t have enjoyed it any more. Hats off to those who were in charge.
