Letter: Neuter, spay your pets to save money, lives

Frank Webster

To the editor:

Did you know each day 10,000 humans are born in the United States? As long as these birth rates exist, there will never be enough homes for all the animals. As a result, millions of healthy, loving cats, dogs, kittens and puppies face early death as a form of animal control. Others are left to fend for themselves against automobiles, other animals and cruel humans.

If people would neuter and spay their pets, there would be millions of lives and tax dollars saved. Many people don’t know that quite a few rescue groups will neuter and spay for as low as $35.

Please neuter or spay your cat or dog.
