To the editor:
I attended an elementary program on a recent Friday evening here in Seymour. I was pleasantly pleased with the talent of the children, the director of the choirs and the organization of the event.
However, I was disappointed in that not one song was sung about the one in whom the season is supposed to celebrate. No “Away in a Manger,” no “Hark the Herald Angels Sing,” no “What Child Is This,” no “Oh Little Town of Bethlehem.”
Have we allowed our government to suppress us to the point that we cannot celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ publicly?
