Letter: Food production lies turn writer’s stomach



To the editor:

Here we are considering another confined animal feeding operation in Jackson County. I admit to not knowing much about these operations before the past year, but now that I am learning about them, I am perplexed by so many conflicting messages.

I have had a very personal “wake-up call” regarding nutrition because I have learned the hard way that you are what you eat. I realize that not everybody who has had cancer or autoimmune disorders has the opportunity to find out what they have been doing wrong and reverse the disease process.

What I thought had been a good diet was, in fact, a very poor diet and my body’s cells were composed of toxic materials and I was using toxic materials for energy.
