To the editor:
In response to the May 7 column in The Tribune by state Rep. Terry Goodin, D-Austin, shame on him.
Chief Executives magazine has voted Indiana the best state in the Midwest for doing business. Business executives around the country considered many criteria, including education, in making their decision. Indiana ranks fifth in the nation overall.
These rankings will help Indiana bring in many new jobs.
Under the leadership of former governor Mitch Daniels and a Republican Legislature, Indiana has been turned around from a state deep in debt to one of envy with a surplus that has come about all during the worst national depression since the 1930s.
Terry Goodin should stop whining. He sounds like a spoiled kid who didn’t get his way. The proof is in the pudding.
