Library plans cooking camp

Jackson County Public Library will offer a free Kids’ Cooking Camp for grades 3 through 7 at 11 a.m. July 30 through Aug. 3 in the Seymour Library meeting room.

Georgiann Coons, Purdue Extension Family Nutrition Program assistant, will lead the five-day camp. Registration is required.

Participants will learn about MyPlate and food safety; shopping and label reading; grains, fruits and vegetables; proteins and dairy; and meal and menu planning.
