Free technology classes are available in September at the Seymour Library.
Registration is preferred by going to myjclibrary.org/events or calling the Seymour Library at 812-522-3412 ext. 1243.
Classes scheduled in the next month are Basic Computer 1 and 2, Facebook
Basics, Ancestry Library Edition, Genealogy Detectives, HeritageQuest Online, Online College Courses, Microsoft Excel and Word, Using Electronic Devices, and Beginning Windows 8.
The Jackson County Public Library has downloadable books, and there are one-on-one classes on using e-readers including Kindle, iPad, Nook Color and Android Tablets. Individual help also is available for Microsoft Office programs, tablets and other technology.
Those interested may call 812-522-3412 ext. 1240 to make appointments for help from library staff members who teach these classes.
