White Creek United Methodist hog roast set
White Creek United Methodist Church will offer a hog roast Saturday.
The all-you-can-eat dinner will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church, 6730 W. 930S near Waymansville in Batholomew County.
A freewill offering will be accepted.
Other activities include a quilt and dollhouse raffle, baked goods, handmade crafts and musical entertainment.
Soup, sandwich supper planned at St. Peter
St. Peter Lutheran Church in Brownstown will offer its annual soup and sandwich supper Sunday.
The meal will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church, 403 W. Bridge St.
A freewill offering will be accepted.
Hospital gala to benefit medically uninsured
Columbus Regional Hospital Foundation will stage an event to benefit Volunteers in Medicine Clinic.
“It Takes a Community” will be Nov. 9 at Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in Columbus.
The program will include cocktails, a dinner, music by Sounds of Dreams and a reverse raffle that includes in a $10,000 grand prize.
Local chef Carrie Douglas and the culinary arts students from the C4 Columbus Area Career Connection will prepare and serve the dinner.
Event tickets, which include a raffle ticket, are $170 for individuals or $240 for a couple. Raffle tickets cost $100 each, and only 500 will be sold. The grand prize raffle winner need not be present to win.
All event proceeds benefit Volunteers in Medicine Clinic, which relies on these funds for one-fourth of its annual operating budget.

Seymour High School choirs to present concert
Seymour High School choirs will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the school auditorium.
Doors will open at 7 p.m.
The cost is $3 per person.
The community is invited.
The choirs are under the direction of teacher Nick Burdick.
