A Jackson County man who pleaded guilty to child molesting has received a 10-year prison term in Jackson Circuit Court in Brownstown.
Paul Stanton, 56, of Seymour, was ordered to spend six years in prison with the remainder being served on supervised probation, according to Senior Judge Bill Vance’s March 22 order.
Stanton pleaded guilty to the Class B felony charge on Feb. 5. He initially faced two counts of child molesting in connection with an investigation that began Jan. 23, 2012, according to the probable cause affidavit signed by Detective Rachel Hunt with the Indiana State Police.
