Local emergency management officials joined others Monday from around the state in weeklong training exercises aimed at improving responses to disasters.
The program is called Without Warning, a full-scale disaster response exercise led by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.
A crew of four Seymour firefighters entered training today at Muscatatuck Urban Training Center near Butlerville.
They and their ladder truck joined firefighters from Bloomington and Columbus fire departments along with a volunteer unit, Seymour Fire Chief Brad Lucas said.
