Because of the fundraising efforts of several local individuals, the Milan ’54 Hoosiers Museum is up and running and a grand opening is being planned.

People can now go to the small Ripley County town and relive “The Milan Miracle” of the 1954 basketball team that won the state title and the movie based on that story, “Hoosiers.”

“The story never gets old, and it endures and endures,” Kevin Larrison of Seymour said. “It’s not just about basketball. It’s about everything.”
