Goal: Keeping people safe when pets bitten by animals with rabies



Seven rabies clinics will offer low-cost vaccinations for dogs and cats across Jackson County in the coming month.

Dr. Ron Harrison and Dr. Kristin Burdoff from Brownstown Animal Hospital and Dr. Robert Gillespie and Dr. Jack Gillespie, semiretired veterinarians from Brownstown, will again offer rabies vaccination clinics in rural areas.

“We try to get all of the hounds from the country,” Robert Gillespie said. “We do not do it so much for the sake of the dogs but for the sake of the owners.”
