Man: Dog played role in motorcycle accident

A 67-year-old man told police a dog played a role in a wreck in northern Jackson County that left him hospitalized Thursday, police report.

The action of a tour bus driver is credited with preventing the motorcyclist from being run over.

Leon Moore of Fountain City told police he lost control of his 2008 Yamaha Venture motorcycle he was driving south on Interstate 65 near the 55-mile marker after swerving to miss the dog, according to Trooper Jason Duncan’s report.
