Man dies in ATV accident

SCIPIO — Police continue to investigate the death of a 21-year-old Jennings County man driving an all-terrain vehicle in the western part of that county early Sunday morning.

According to a press release from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Division of Law Enforcement, Jonathan M. Eldridge of Scipio died after he apparently lost control of the all-terrain vehicle he was driving on County Road 950 West near Scipio. The vehicle hit a mailbox, throwing Eldridge into a field, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
