Man faces murder, drug charges

A Jennings County man was arrested on one count of murder Friday night in connection with the suspected drug overdose death of his wife.

Jeremy Jackson, 33, North Vernon, was booked into the Jennings County Jail at 6:15 p.m. on charges of murder, dealing methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine, according to jail records.

Jennings County Prosecutor Alan Marshall said Sunday afternoon that his office had not yet received a report on the case from the Jennings County Sheriff’s Department and could offer little comment on the investigation.
