Man surrenders in stabbing, shooting



A Norman man sought in a stabbing and shooting surrendered to police early Friday.

Tony David Mitchell, 39, faces one count of attempted murder, a Class A felony; two counts of aggravated battery, a Class B felony; two counts of battery committed by means of a deadly weapon, a Class C felony; and criminal recklessness, a Class C felony, according to a news release from Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.

Mitchell was booked into the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown at 2:54 a.m. Friday and was being held there without bond pending his initial hearing.
