Chris Marks recently was promoted from network administrator to information security officer with Seymour-based Jackson County Bank.

Marks began his career with the bank in July 2003 as the assistant banking center leader at the Jackson Park Banking Center in Seymour. He also has served as interim banking center leader at the bank’s Columbus Clover Center location, management trainee, training coordinator.

In 2008, he accepted the network administrator role, which he will continue to fill.

As information security officer, Marks assumes overall responsibility for the bank’s information security program. Duties include the continued development of the program, performance of risk assessments and training of bank staff on information security related topics.

Also active in the community, Marks serves on the board of Leadership Jackson County and participates in 21st Century Business as an instructor. He is a graduate of Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in general studies.
