Mathis, Moore county's last bowlers standing

In terms of game scores at the Beech Grove Regional at Expo Bowl, Seymour senior Logan Moore and Trinity Lutheran senior Chaz Mathis went in opposite directions.

Moore started out with 211, had 214 in his second game and dropped to 161 in his third game. Mathis began with 177 and then 213 and 223.

When all of the scores were tallied, Mathis had a 613 series and placed fourth to advance to the stepladder round, while Moore had a 586 series and tied for seventh. Mathis held on to his fourth-place finish after falling in the stepladder to Zach Weidman of Franklin Central 242-162. Lawrence Central’s Martin Cundiff won the regional a week after winning a sectional title.
