Medora going pink for cancer awareness


Tribune photo by Aaron Piper/ Medora residents released over one hundred balloons each carrying the name of a person effected by cancer last year during the Medora Goes Pink event. The festival was assembled to help raise support, finances and awareness about the fight against cancer.

The fourth annual HOPE Medora Goes Pink Breast Cancer Awareness event and community day has been set for Oct. 12 in that small southwestern Jackson County community.

The event, which has raised more than $7,000 to help local people with all types of cancer, is not being held solely for the people of Medora, organizer Debi Wayman said.
