Medora’s first two boys basketball games were postponed because of the weather.

So Friday’s home game against Martinsville Tabernacle was the season-opener, and the Hornets won 70-45. It was Medora’s first season-opening victory since the 1993-94 school year.

Their second game was against defending sectional champion Orleans on Tuesday, and the Hornets suffered a 72-15 loss.
