Medora to spotlight boys basketball program

Medora basketball fans can get a preview of the 2012-13 boys program during Saturday's Hornet Hysteria.

From 5 to 6:30 p.m., a PTO chili supper will take place in the cafeteria; and the varsity and junior varsity teams will practice in the gymnasium. Fifth- and sixth-grade boys will be introduced and run through drills from 6:30 to 7 p.m., and that will be followed by the seventh- and eighth-grade boys being introduced and going through drills.

Beginning at 7:30 p.m., fans will meet the JV and varsity teams, and the squads will compete in a 3-point contest. Those teams will scrimmage at 8 p.m. The night will end with an autograph session and a meet-and-greet with the coaches and players.

Also during the event, a silent auction consisting of Medora and sports items will be held, and the first 50 fans will get a one-page Medora boys basketball calendar.

Admission is free. Donations of Gatorade, dry-erase markers and blank DVDs will be accepted.
