The MelonFest planning committee will meet at 6 p.m. today at Jackson County History Center at Walnut and Poplar streets in Brownstown.

Some of the plans in place for this year’s festival, which will be Sept. 8 and Sept. 9, include games, musical entertainment, children’s and adult activities and the parade.

Marsha Lentowski has agreed to another term as committee president, and Neal Rose is committee vice president.

Anyone interested in being part of the planning committee or has any ideas they would like to share may attend.
