Melting snow causes flood warning for area

Recent rainfall and snow melt triggered a flood warning across Jackson County for the weekend.

East Fork White River was rising from 9.47 feet at 6 p.m. Friday en route to a crest of 15.1 feet late tonight or early Sunday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Flood stage at Seymour is 12 feet.
