Seymour High School seniors received a look at where they some day might work recently by participating in mock interviews with potential employers.

Sponsored by Jackson County Industrial Development Corp., students spoke with representatives of their prospective careers after filling out questionnaires and preparing resumés.

Workforce coordinator Jody Deckard said the mock interviews give students the opportunity to learn about the field they might want to get into while also helping them strengthen their writing skills by working on cover letters and résumés.

“It’s important to students to give them a taste of what the workforce is like,” Deckard said.
