BROWNSTOWN
The community lost more than just the longtime voice of the Braves with the death Saturday morning of Jack Montgomery.
“He was just a good leader, and not just in the school system but in the community,” Roger Bane said of the 67-year-old Montgomery, who died at his home.
Bane, superintendent of the Brownstown Central Community School Corp., said the district is going to have a hard time replacing what Montgomery brought to the table in experience. Montgomery was a school board trustee.
