Muscatatuck slates volunteer cleanup

Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge will celebrate Earth Day with a volunteer work day and refuge cleanup this weekend.

Anyone who enjoys the outdoors is invited to come out, get some exercise and help improve the refuge, park ranger Donna Stanley said.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the refuge visitor center and will include work for volunteers of all ages and abilities, including trash pickup, work on the visitor center Backyard Habitat and wildflower areas, invasive species removal, and work on the Childrens’ Discovery Area.
