New Washington outscored visiting Trinity Lutheran 29-17 in the second half of Saturday’s boys basketball game and won 48-39.
The host Mustangs led 12-10 through one quarter before the Cougars took a 22-19 lead at halftime.
Each team only had one player score in double figures. Trinity’s Luke Stuckwisch had a game-high 14 points, including four 3-pointers, and New Washington’s Tim Cochran had 11 points.
Trinity (5-11) suffered its third straight loss and will try and get back on the winning track Wednesday at home against Christian Academy.
