Mustangs trample Tigers in SAC


New Washington's girls basketball moved to 4-0 in the Southern Athletic Conference and 15-2 overall with Tuesday's 80-21 win against visiting Crothersville.

Crothersville was kept to only two points in the first and third quarters. The Tigers trailed 34-12 at halftime.

Alexis Adair led Crothersville (1-17, 0-5 SAC) with nine points.

Four New Washington players scored in double figures, and Kriston Sarver led the way with 18 points. The Mustangs are ranked ninth in Class A.

Crothersville's next game is Saturday at Trinity Lutheran.
