New city engineer assumes responsibilities in Seymour

When Nathan Frey walked into his new office at Seymour City Hall, he knew it was going to take a while to get organized.

As Seymour’s first full-time city engineer since 2010, he is making his way through piles of documents, rolled up maps and other materials related to the job.

He will be responsible for planning and overseeing local transportation projects such as road work and the creation of people trails in the city and the development of new parks facilities and will work closely with the sewer department to review drainage plans submitted from developers and assist in the expansion of the city’s sewer collection system.
