New clerk-treasurer takes vacant Crothersville spot

The town of Crothersville has a new clerk-treasurer.

Jackson County Republican Party chairwoman Melissa Acton appointed Terry Richey, 53, to fill the remaining term vacated this month by Michele Teipen, a Republican.

Richey also is keeping her full-time job with Crothersville Community Schools and plans to shift the duties of office manager in the clerk-treasurer’s office to the deputy clerk.
