Brownstown Central’s football team got the job done by air, land and, well, sea Friday night.
Surviving a biblical rainstorm that pounded North Harrison’s field all night long, the Class 3A No. 8 Braves downed the host Cougars 28-0, improving to 5-0 heading into next Friday’s showdown with county rival Seymour.
Friday’s victory was Brownstown’s second defensive shutout of the season and its 19th straight win over Mid-Southern Conference foe North Harrison — the Braves have never lost to the Cougars since Reed May took over the program in 1993.
