North Vernon couple perish in Ohio accident

WAYNESVILLE, Ohio — Ohio State Troopers reported a North Vernon, Indiana couple were killed in a three-vehicle accident in southwest Ohio Tuesday afternoon.

Troopers identified the couple as 66-year-old Robert Large and 66-year-old Margaret Large.

Investigators said Robert Large was driving a minivan in Warren County’s Clearcreek Township, about 35 miles northeast of Cincinnati, when the accident occurred.

A statement from the State Highway Patrol says a 45-year-old Leesburg, Ohio woman failed to stop her car at an intersection and hit a large truck, forcing it into a head-on collision with the minivan.

The car driver was flown to a hospital with serious injuries. The Moraine man driving the truck suffered minor injuries and was driven to a local hospital.
