Egging leads to felony charges

Tossing eggs at passing motorists from an interstate overpass led to the arrests of five people.

Police arrested a Jennings County man and four juveniles on Sunday after receiving a report of people throwing items from an overpass on Interstate 65 north of Seymour.

Sean D. Maxwell, 19, of North Vernon, and the four juveniles, who also live in Jennings County and were ages 13 to 17, each face a Class C felony charge of overpass mischief and four counts of criminal mischief, a Class A misdemeanor, police report.
