North Vernon man faces charges after meth lab found

A Jennings County man faces at least six charges after a methamphetamine lab was found Tuesday in a residence in Spencer Township.

Martin E. “Marty” Johnson, 49, of 5150 W. County Road 200S, North Vernon, faces charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, a Class A felony; possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, a Class C felony; and Class D felony charges of possession of a syringe, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine, according to a news release from Jennings County Sheriff Steve Hoppock.

Johnson also faces a charge of possession of paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor, and was arrested on a warrant for possession of stolen property, a Class D felony.
