Officials OK applying for parks project grant

City officials are taking a step closer to providing residents with recreational trails for walking, biking and running.

The first leg of a network of multiuse people trails is being planned for an area around the city’s west side that will encompass Seymour High School.

Board of Works members approved a request from city parks director Brent Jameson last week to apply for a state grant worth up to $150,000 to help fund the project.
