With the help of two gold-winning U.S. Olympic ice dancers, students at Margaret R. Brown Elementary School have become classroom champions in Seymour.

Last week, teacher Jennifer Regruth wrapped up a program that paired her fourth-grade students with Charlie White and Meryl Davis, motivating them to set and achieve goals through hard work, determination and perseverance.

This was the third year Brown has been involved in the Classroom Champions program. Two years ago, the school got to Skype or video conference with gold medal Olympian bobsledder Steve Mesler as part of their annual spring reading program and last year worked with aerial skier Emily Cook.
