As the holiday season continues, students from Seymour Middle School write and reflect on the things for which they are thankful.

I know that a lot of kids are thankful for their video games or for anything not as important as some things. I know I have a lot to be thankful for. I have a loving family that supports me and cares for me. I’m thankful that my family has stayed together for 17 years. My life could be a lot worse. I know kids that have it a lot harder than me, that’s why I’m thankful for my family. My family is so important to me. Mostly because I wouldn’t know what to do, or how to act without them guiding me. Everybody should be thankful for what they have. It doesn’t matter how much you have, or how great it is. I always try to remember there is somebody out there that would do anything to have a better day or just a better life. When I think about that, it makes me even more thankful.
