BROWNSTOWN

There are some high school tennis players who prefer to play singles, while others lean toward doubles.

Brownstown Central senior Kennedy McKeand prefers the latter.

“I like doubles,” she said. “I like playing as a team.”

She said communication with your partner is important.

“You can really tell out there when there is no communication on the court,” she said. “Balls go everywhere, and you don’t know where your partner is. It’s good to know where your partner is and what they need to do and what you need to do. It’s easier to communicate that way.”
